Cerro Negro Sanboarding is a tour that lets you know the Cerro Negro Volcano, which is an excellent tourist site, characterized as a black hill with steep slopes and without vegetation. It is possible to climb and descend the volcanic cone; and appreciate the crater.
This volcano is 500 meters high, reaching 726 meters above sea level. Once you climb and reach the summit, you can appreciate beautiful landscapes and be able to observe a chain of volcanoes (one after another) such as the Telica and the San Cristobal volcanoes. At the summit you can also appreciate the crater, and feel the heat and smell of the sulfur, which makes it an exciting experience.
Descending the Cerro Negro volcano is an adventure in itself. Then you will practice sandboarding.

Day 1
- Depart to the Cerro Negro Volcano – 6:00 AM.
- Prepare for the excursion, explaination and check equipment.
- Ascend the volcano and later descend sandboarding.
- Have lunch in the city of Leon.
- Visit the city of Nagarote.
- Arrive back to Managua – 6:00 PM ending our Cerro Negro Sandboarding adventure.
